MY ENGLISH PATH STUDENTS BOOK is a supplementary resource developed in line with the Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli (TYMM) to support fifth-grade students in strengthening all four skills.
Each theme begins with a video and listening activity that help learners become familiar with the target words and grammatical structures before starting the theme.
Vocabulary and grammar activities are designed to be meaningful, engaging, and theme-based. Vocabulary is presented through visual cues which make the presentation more appealing and the vocabulary more comprehensible to learners. The vocabulary items are always related to the theme of the topic and are not just lexis but also phrases which have the same function that single words do.
The reading part in each theme includes engaging activities that reinforce vocabulary, grammar, and everyday language use. Reading texts help students practise English in meaningful and enjoyable ways. Various types of questions such as comprehension questions, gap filling, True/ False exercises, etc. regarding international examinations are provided inorder to increase students’ understanding and comprehension of thetexts.
The speaking and writing sections at the end of each theme give students the opportunity to use and produce the structures they have learned throughout the unit. By learning different tasks, students reinforce these skills.
MY ENGLISH PATH WORKBOOK is a supplementary resource developed in line with the Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli (TYMM) to support fifth-grade students in strengthening their vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening skills.
The vocabulary and grammar sections give students the opportunity to reinforce the structures they learn in the units by using different types of activities. These activities will help them use vocabulary and grammatical structures in meaningful and real-life contexts.
In the reading and listening sections, they reinforce these structures by seeing them in different contexts.
Students will read different types of texts to improve their comprehension skills. They will learn how to understand main ideas, details, and new vocabulary in context.
Students will listen to different recordings to improve their listening skills. These activities will help them understand spoken English in various situations.

Listening texts in different formats serve as a model for the following speaking tasks. Students are introduced to the task they are expected to carry out in the listening section.
Grammatical structures and useful phrases needed for the speaking tasks are practised to prepare students for the tasks.
Speaking tasks help students use English in real-life situations. They practise communication, build confidence, learn to work with others, and develop fluency and pronunciation.
Motivating, engaging, and entertaining topics generate a positive classroom dynamic and stimulate students’ interests.
